After lots of matches in the afternoon, 34 children settled down after tea and tuck shop to watch films. Mint cones or spiral fruit lollies helped the evening go with a swing.
Sunday saw a full english breakfast before a trip up the M5 and briefly down the M6 to Star City in Birmingham. Our first visit was to Adventure Island mini golf which proved great fun. With tuck rewards offered for a hole in one, concentration was maintained and several were achieved.
Star City has a myriad of entertainment options all in one area so a group popped next door to Goals Soccer Centre where we played on a lovely 3G astro 5 a side pitch while everyone else had a game of ten pin bowling.
Lunch was either McDonalds, KFC or Subway and the children revelled in being given their own money and making their own choices.
A short drive across Birmingham saw the day crowned with a visit to Cadbury World. Chocolate was explained, tasted, smelt and demonstrated before a quick blast in the adventure playground and a drive back to school just in time for tea and some freetime. As ever, it was all over too soon !
