A busy weekend
Report – All-In Weekend
17th and 18th March 2018
This weekend saw the return of ‘The Beast from the East’ or ‘Hysteria from Siberia’ as one listener to Radio 5 live called it. This meant that Mr Scott had another early start playing with the Kabota and snow plough (after several late nights tackling set design for the play). This was the weekend for the Dress rehearsal of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe together with the live band, some traveling from Birmingham. Although not all the band could make it all the cast and crew either boarded on Saturday night or battled through the snow so the show could go on!
For those not in the play a day of activities and relaxing was in store. The swimming pool was put to good use as was the sports hall and shooting range. A Patrol shooting competition saw Ben E just pip Kit C scoring 83 over Kit’s 82. The Peewits achieved the best average score to add points to a growing list of Patrol competitions throughout the year. Mme B-B ran a cooking activity and the biscuits that were produced went down very well with a cup of tea at supper time. Some braved the elements and went out into the snow drifts whilst others jumped on the bouncy castle or relaxed in front of a film and made friendship bands. The Day room was also busy with table football taking over from table tennis as the game of the moment.
After supper letters were written home and then early nights after a busy day.
