A tough but positive day in the office for the U12A vs Bredon Hill Academy

From kick-off the game promised to be an end-to-end thriller. Abberley looked more physical than in previous matches and they clearly wanted to play from anywhere on the pitch. Slick handling led to several early attacks deep into the oppositions half, although Breden Hill were quick to  reply in kind. Their physical and direct running led to a good try. Not to be outdone and again after some good handling from Will, Lysander and Max, Ed P scored a great try from inside his own half. The game continued to yoyo back and fourth and finally half time came with Breden Hill up 4 tries to 3.
In the second half, Breden Hill's strong ball carrier proved too much and the game slipped from Abberley's grasp. This was not without the forwards competing well at the break down however. Ed L and Hector C were strong over the ball and Kit C grew in confidence with each carry.
Despite the result, there is certainly a lot of positives to build on and it was a very brave and respectable effort by all.
Onwards and upwards!
