11+ September 2022 applications now open

We are delighted to announce that Abberley Hall now offers 11+ scholarships, open to pupils who demonstrate academic excellence in their studies and also strengths in other areas. Applications are now open for September 2022.

Abberley Hall is committed to widening access to independent education through our new scholarship programme. Scholarships will be awarded to exceptionally talented pupils joining us in Year 7. Awards will come with an automatic 15% fee discount but further means-tested support could be available upon application. Scholars will have access to academic opportunities that may otherwise not be available to them, as well as leadership opportunities. The successful candidates will be role models to their peers and will be expected to maintain their own high standards of academic achievements and to contribute to school life more widely for the duration of their time at Abberley Hall. Furthermore, these scholarships will carry prestige for Senior School applications.

We will be holding a Scholars' Taster Day at Abberley Hall on Monday 7th February. The day will be a fantastic opportunity for potential scholars to discover what Abberley has to offer them. To book a place for your child, please click here.

The deadline for 2022 applications is February 18th. To submit an entry for consideration, the child will need to write a letter of application addressed to Mr Besley (Headmaster), detailing why they believe they should be a recipient of an Abberley 11+ scholarship. Please send this via email to or via post to Admissions, Abberley Hall, Worcester, WR6 6DD.

Academic assessments will then take place in the week commencing February 28th.

Abberley Hall seeks to support parents with our Bursary options to provide opportunities to children who would greatly benefit from all the opportunities Abberley has to offer, but do not have the financial resources to cover the cost.

The funds that support this ambition are limited, so all applications for Bursary support are means tested. Parents will be asked to complete a Grant Application Form and submit financial details to be considered for Bursary support.

We consider applications from parents for a means tested bursary before starting at the school or at any stage of education. Bursaries are awarded depending on the individual circumstances and are reviewed annually. To apply for a Bursary and to find out more information please contact
