Headmaster's Blog #35

The Spring Term Begins

It has been a great first week back at school with the children full of enthusiasm and energy and very happy to be back. The 1st 7 footballers dusted off their boots for a mini-tournament at Winterfold – the Christmas pudding sat rather heavily, but latent talent was discernable. The headmaster joined the first whole school cross country run on Friday, and could be seen toiling at the back – long may good intentions last.

Our u10 girl netballers are at a training day at Cheltenham College on Saturday. Mr Keeble is gathering hats, scarves and gloves for the Chocolate Game for the boarders to play this evening. And Mr Raven is taking those not rehearsing on Sunday for Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat to watch Birmingham City Women play Bristol City. All that is after Mr Foulds of Rugby School has come to address us in Chapel, where the Choir will have their first outing of the term.

So what with Art Scholarships at Malvern College and Cheltenham Ladies College Entrance exams going on as well, I think it is fair to say we have got off to a busy start to the year.
