Lunchtime Concert

Lunchtime Concert

3rd February, 2017

On the 3rd February we presented our second Lunchtime Concert of this Spring / Lent Term. A splendidly varied programme, which was beautifully performed, was listened to and much enjoyed by a large and appreciative audience

The programme was as follows :-

Yoan H-B got us off to a rhythmic start with ‘Beats and Bangs’ by C. Barron on the Drum Kit

Molly A gave a jolly performance of J. Offenbach’s ‘Can Can’ on the flute which got our feet tapping                                               

Darcey R-S followed with a splendidly rhythmical performance of ‘Parade’ by D. Agay on the piano

Harry A-J gave a splendidly assured performance of Strollin’ by D. Stowell on the trumpet

Alexandria C gave a delicate performance ‘Mountain Climbing’ by J. Thompson on the piano

Nicholas C followed by singing a lyrical and confident account of ‘Path to the Moon’           by E. Thiman

Hester L gave a bold, musical and expressive performance of ‘Little Brown Bug’ on the piano

Anastasia E got our feet tapping again with a splendidly performed ‘Reel’ by D. Blackwell on the ‘cello

Jemima M –S exquisitely played one of her exam pieces, ‘Prelude’ by B. Hummel, on the piano, showing many expressive qualities

Lexi J gave a spirited and enjoyable performance of ‘Waltz op. 54 no. 1’ by A. Dvorak on the piano and

Bill H brought the concert to a successful conclusion with ‘Stoneroller’ by P. Riley/A.Staples on the Drum Kit which he most obviously enjoyed and played really well.
