U11 @ Bromsgrove Tournament

A morning tournament and the girls looked a little off their usual pace in the first game against King Henry's. We had most of the possession but could not find the back of the goal. With a game under their belt the girls heart-rates were up and in the next game against The Elms, they were awesome. Livvy's calm head in defence kept the ball away from Freya, who was in goal, and the work rate of the girls meant that we quickly moved from defence into attack. Bea had a goal disallowed, after a lovely through ball from Kitty, but Rosie finally got herself onto the score sheet for the U11A with a brilliantly taken goal. A good win for us. Bromsgrove B and Kings St Albans where both games were we had so much possession but the goals just did not come. The final group match was against the eventual group winners Fairfield; Olivia H came into goalkeeper and she was busy! The opposition moved the ball with such speed that we struggled to cope with it at times, but it gives us something to work on for the next few coaching sessions.

The team played well as a squad and I was really pleased with all their performances today. Good job girlies!!
