U11A @ Shrewsbury tournament

The tournament consisted of five matches, and the winner of the most games took the trophy home.

Packwood Haugh:  6-0 win. Emily did not miss a shot and Bella controlled the centre court.

White House School: 11-1 win. Emily on fire again, supported by Lottie and Hattie and Francis defended well.

Prestfelde: 8-8 draw. Last year this school beat us heavily, so we had a score to settle and when we went 4-0 down it looked as though we may be out go it. But the girls were awesome. Every player pushed themselves and the movement down the court was the best i have seen from the girls. At the end of the game they were ecstatic at south a great performance.

Terra Nova: 8-1 win. Another solid performance, but an easy win.

Old Hall School: 3-8 lost. Despite quickly going to 4-0 down, the girls fought back (as they had against Prestfelde). Sylvie was amazing at centre, with Bella, Hattie and Francis having to work so so hard for every interception. Emily took her few chances and brought us slowly back into the game, but at 3-5 the opposition dug in and just kept ahead of us and we couldn't get to half their score. (something we would have gained a point for.)

So with the matches over, the presentation saw Old Hall win the trophy and Prestfelde coming runners up because they managed to get half of Old Hall's score, even though during the whole tournament they had not scored as many goals as us.

The girls were exceptional today; played brilliantly and deserved something, but netball tournaments can often come down to a couple of goals and today it was just two.
