U9s and U9s first triangular.

U8 battled valiantly in the windy wild conditions but our goals did not go in.  We lost 1-3 in a close first game against St Albans. In the second game Sophie made two interceptions - her best game yet! Sadly though we just couldn’t meet the pace of King Hawford’s play and the accuracy of their shooting. It was 0-7 at full time. We did have fun though and learnt so much from the opportunity of playing. We also tried some new positions which did create some confusion initially until we worked out what to do.

The U9s showed great improvement from last week and worked really well together. In the first match against Kings St Albans they were able to connect lots of passes and Nell, Olivia H and Alex did a great job in attack. Alex and Olivia H scored two lovely goals each and were unlucky not to score more. Jessica and Kitty were super in defence and the final score was 4-1 to Abberley. Despite the wind and rain the U9s were keen to come out in the second match and build on their success but unfortunately, we could not match the passing and pace of movement of Kings Hawford. The final score was 1-7 thanks to another neat goal from Alex.
