Under 10A Vs Cheltenham
The under 10's took to the pitch for a rare home game this season and we played on the swimming pool pitch for the first time this term. We worked hard in the first half and the boys were physical in contact and they tackled hard as well as being competitive at the breakdown. Edward C and Rufus were quick to get to the ruck and they won the ball well. This allowed us to play with speed and move the ball wide. Harry rucked hard and turned over the ball well. At half time we were 2-1 up.
In the second half the boys stepped up their game and worked hard to break the tackle and move the ball through the hands which they did with speed and skill. Duncan ran well with the ball and passed well to put others into space. Edward M gained the ball in space and was able to score in the corner. George and Wallace worked hard in defence. Furthermore, Oscar made some very strong tackles. The Boys put together a very good performance and followed our game plan to move the ball wide with pace. Cheltenham fought back in the last 5 minute to score two tries to finish the game. A good game this afternoon, well done boys. The final result was a win to Abberley 7 - 3.
