Under 12B team's perfect balance at Cheltenham tournament.

The team scored two wins, two losses and one draw at today's tournament.  Lysander scored our only try to equalise in a close fought opening match against Clifton.  Some of our team were still 'on the bus', but in the second match against Bromsgrove they had a rude awakening, losing by seven tries to nil.  Against Cheltenham Bourneside, another strong team, Harry scored an excellent try after some strong running, but this did not dent their lead by much and we lost by five tries to one.

Having learned a great deal about positioning, tackling and running straight with the ball from the stronger teams, we managed to finish the tournament well with two excellent wins.  Lysander scored twice in a four to one win against St. Hughes; Jimmy and Kit bagged one each.  Kit was the star against Cheltenham in the final match scoring three with some powerful and direct running, Lysander managed to score twice and Jaspar ran the length of the pitch to score in the corner.  After a very busy afternoon the boys returned to Abberley having learned a great deal about themselves.  There is still a lot of work to do in training, but their hard work is starting to pay-off.
